Anna Wintour always wanted to be respected by fear. Now she's pushing herself so much to appear nice _probably not her own choice _ that she's loosing control of what she says. On David Letterman's show lest week, she missed a great opportunity to tell that fashion is a big industry and a relevant subject.
The US Vogue editor-in-chief made fun of fashion and herself many times. The worse part was when Letterman makes the traditional question: Does anyone really wear/buy what is at the runway? She laugh of his jokes and answer "lot's of people" without explaining more. In some occasions you can use a total look just like in the runway and always you can mix an extravagant runway piece with a basic garment and be ready for anything. This works not only for ready-to-wear but also Couture. Instead of expand and clarify the point David made, she said "I'm an Alien, remember".
The editor-in-chief of the most popular fashion magazine points out fashion and herself as something from "outer space". Sad.
Other thing, why wasn't she wearing the Fashion's Night Out t-shirt? If is because the shirt is ugly, why didn't she approved a shirt she would wear?
